FLIGHT PAY
Sunset is a time revered by most photographers as the golden hour for capturing the perfect shot with the perfect lighting - as a new pilot AND photographer, I find the same holds true for flying. Sunset is without a doubt my favorite time of day to photograph, and now, is my new favorite time of day to fly; the air is still, the lighting is obviously favorable, but your heightened ability to focus on land navigation and instruments feels exponentially easier when you aren't competing with the overhead lighting of the sun.
Fortunate to be able to use both runway 8 (west of D-7) and runway 15 (north of B-3) for setup and approaches. Each pattern is distinctly different and offers a range of challenges. Repetition is key at this point - its not sexy flying, that comes later.
